What is Magnesium Sulfate?

Magnesium sulfate is used to treat and prevent hypomagnesemia; prevention and treatment of seizures in severe pre-eclampsia or eclampsia, pediatric acute nephritis; torsade de pointes; treatment of cardiac arrhythmias caused by hypomagnesemia; and as a soaking aid.
