What is Lamivudine-Zidovudine (3TC/ZDV)?

The combination of lamivudine (Epivir) and zidovudine (AZT, ZDP) is used to treat HIV in patients with or without acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Lamivudine and zidovudine are in a class of antiviral medications called synthetic nucleoside analogues.
