Typhoid Fever is a potentially fatal illness characterized by sustained fever, weakness, abdominal pain, and sometimes a rash of flat red spots. Caused by food and water contaminated with Salmonella typhi bacteria through poor sanitation, Typhoid fever is rare in industrialized countries.
