What is trichomoniasis?

Trichomoniasis is a common sexually transmitted disease (STD) that is caused by an organism known as Trichomonas vaginalis. While both men and women can get this STD, it is more common in women. Further, men usually do not have any symptoms, while women may have symptoms in the urogenital area.
