A Puestow Procedure, or lateral pancreaticojejunostomy, is a surgical procedure performed for chronic pancreatitis. In chronic cases of pancreatitis, the duct within the pancreas becomes dilated and obstructed. During the procedure, the duct is cleared and attached lengthwise to the small intestine.
