Dalteparin is a low molecular weight heparin, it is used for the prevention of deep vein thrombosis following surgery, acute treatment of unstable angina or non-Q-wave myocardial infarction; prevention of ischemic complications in patients on concurrent aspirin therapy, and in patients with cancer.
