What is Insulin Lispro?

Insulin lispro is equipotent to insulin regular, but has a more rapid onset. It is used in the treatment of type 1 diabetes mellitus (insulin dependent, IDDM); type 2 diabetes mellitus (noninsulin dependent, NIDDM) to control hyperglycemia.
