What is Esomeprazole?

Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor. It is used for treatment of gastrointestinal reflux disease; for duodenal and gastric ulcers; and for conditions associated with hypersecretion of gastric acid, including Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
