What is Doxepin?

Doxepin is a tricyclic antidepressant used to treat depression. It can also be applied on the skin to relieve itching associated with atopic dermatitis or lichen simplex chronicus. It may also be used as an analgesic for certain chronic and neuropathic pain and for anxiety.
