Atropine is an anticholinergic agent used to inhibit salivation and secretions. The injectable form is also used to treat the symptoms of sinus bradycardia (slow heart beat), other cardiac conditions and as an antidote for certain insecticides and nerve agents. It is also available in eye drops.
