What is brawny/non-pitting edema?
Swelling, or edema, usually indicates the presence of abnormally large amounts of fluid in the intercellular tissue spaces of the body. Brawny edema is a non-pitting type of edema that is usually dense and feels firm. It is also associated with skin pigmentation changes.
