What is Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome?

Zollinger-Ellison syndrome is a condition in which there is an increased production of gastrin (hormone) from small tumors (gastrinoma) that grow in the pancreas or small intestine. Excess levels of gastrin can lead to peptic ulcers.
