What is Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia?

Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia is a rare, indolent (slow-growing) non-Hodgkin lymphoma. It is a plasma cell disorder in which large amounts of a protein called IgM are produced resulting in hyperviscosity (thickness) of the blood.
