What is vascular dementia?

Vascular dementia is the chronic reduced blood flow to the brain;usually as the result of a stroke or series of strokes.With reduced blood flow,oxygen and nutrients are blocked from the brain, cells die,causing damage to the brain resulting in progressive decline in memory and cognitive functioning.
