What is systemic vasculitis?

Systemic vasculitis is the inflammation of the blood vessels. The inflammation can decrease blood flow or even stop the blood flow; vessels can expand, thicken, and weaken, leading to a bulge (or aneurysm) or possibly a ruptured blood vessel.
