Pulmonary bleb

What is pulmonary bleb?

A pulmonary bleb is the formation of small sacs of air (blebs) in lung tissue. If the air sac ruptures, air escapes into the pleural space, and can cause pressure on the lung; too much pressure may cause the lung to collapse (pneumothorax).
