Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH) refers to abnormal bleeding after delivery, usually greater than 500mL of blood loss or 1000mL after a cesarean section. The risk of PPH increases beyond 20 weeks of gestation and it is a common cause of perinatal maternal death.
