Ischemia stroke

What is ischemia stroke?

Ischemic stroke occurs when a blood vessel to the brain is blocked by a clot. When blockage is caused by a clot in an artery already narrowed it is called a thrombotic stroke. When a clot travels from another area of the body it is called an embolism and the blockage is called an embolic stroke.
