What is hydrocephalus?

Hydrocephalus is disorder in which the ventricular system in the brain contains an excessive amount of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Obstructive hydrocephalus is due to an obstruction blocking the flow of CSF. Communicating hydrocephalus is due to impaired resorption of CSF.
