Dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumors (DNETs) are rare benign tumors of the brain and spinal cord that most commonly are diagnosed in patients under the age of 20. The tumors usually affect thought, movement and sensation. It is associated with seizures that are uncontrolled by medications.
