What is carcinoid syndrome?

Carcinoid syndrome is a group of symptoms associated with carcinoid tumors of the small intestine, colon, appendix, and bronchial tubes in the lungs. The principal features of carcinoid syndrome are diarrhea and flushing. Wheezing, telangiectasia, and abdominal pain can also occur.
