What is aqueductal stenosis?

Aqueductal stenosis is a narrowing or an obstruction of the channel that connects two of the chambers within the brain. This channel is known as the aqueduct of Sylvius. This obstruction is a common cause of hydrocephalus, a condition where fluid accumulates in the brain.
