What is septo optic dysplasia?
Septo-Optic Dysplasia is defined by three characteristics: underdevelopment of the optic nerve (visual impairment), abnormal formation of structures along the midline of the brain (abnormal brain development), and pituitary hypoplasia (deficiency of essential hormones).
