Ocular myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune eye disorder that can occur alone or as a feature of generalized myasthenia gravis. It is uncertain why ocular muscles are frequently involved in myasthenia and why the disease stays localized to the eye muscles in 15 percent of cases.
