Multiple epiphyseal dysplasia is an inherited spectrum of conditions characterized by malformation (dysplasia) of the "growing portion" or head of the long bones (epiphyses). Some characteristics include, abnormally short thighbone (femur), short hands and fingers, short stature, and joint pain.
