What is Apraxia of Eyelid Opening?
Apraxia of eyelid opening is a motor abnormality of the eyelid that causes increased difficulty in opening the eyes after closing the eyelids. It may occur in combination with blepharospasm. Treatment may include Botox to the orbicularis oculi, levodopa, or surgery, in rare cases.
